Midnight Blues

Blue jazz bar,
hollowed,
Chromatic love,
Beer battered bruises,
clicking teeth
in a corner she was breathing heat
numbing hearts along those gaudy seats
Jumpers
Juniper beds
along my legs
she was running across strange pulses
Her hand in mine
Her hand was mine
They briefly touch the city lights
Birds they sip the shallow skies
they move on
and lull love’s verses
Endlessly
